A great place to play in southern Maryland is Solomons Town Center park! This park is located RIGHT next to Annmarie Sculpture Gardens (one of our favorite places!) and only 5 minutes from Calvert Marine Museum! It features a great playground, clean bathrooms and several athletic fields. It is directly next to Anne Marie Gardens – you could actually walk if you wanted to!
There are two big play structures – one for toddlers and one for big kids, some fun ride-on cars and dinosaurs, a merry-go-round (Calvert County parks are the only places I have seen these in recent years!) a big open field next to the playground, and a large pavilion with picnic tables.
We arrived about 9:30 on a Friday and had the park to ourselves for about an hour. I was thrilled to find super clean family restrooms there when we arrived after a long drive.
This park is definitely worth the stop if you are visiting this area.
