This weekend we spent some time on the eastern shore visiting family. We made 4 stops in the Queenstown/Centreville area:
⭐️ A Little Lovely Coffee House
⭐️ Centreville Wharf Park
⭐️ Millstream Park
⭐️ Ten Eyck Brewery
Our first stop on this trip was A Little Lovely Coffee House ☕️ This coffee shop is owned by a family with 3 little ones and opened up just before the start of the pandemic. They serve Zeke’s coffee and have tons on indoor seating and some bistro tables out front. We have been trying to check this place out for months and I’m so glad we were finally able to make it there! I got a vanilla creme cold brew and honestly – both my husband and I agreed it was the best coffee drink either of us had ever had! 🙌🏼 This is a great place to stop on your way to the beach or if you are doing some outlet shopping. They are located in the Queenstown Outlets just past the Gap store! 📍 430 Outlet Center Dr, Queenstown, MD 21658
15 minutes away from the coffee shop is Centreville Wharf Park. This waterfront playground was renovated within the last couple of years. There are 2 main play structures on rubber playground surface – a pirate ship and one with an ocean theme. There is also a giant fish and a crab to climb on! This playground has beautiful water views and docks to walk on (but no railings so be careful!) There is also a huge open field – great for kids to run around or play catch!

👩👧👦Solo w/ kids?👩👧👦: yes – just avoid the docks with little ones

🏖 Shade: not much shade here 😩
After playing at Centreville Wharf Park, we left in search of some shade and stumbled upon Millstream Park. 📍426 S Commerce St, Centreville, MD (I couldn’t find an address so this is the address for the gas station across the street!) This playground had plenty of shade (a huge pavilion, a smaller one with benches near the playground and several shade trees!) two huge play structures on mulch with massive slides, TONS of swings for babies and big kids and a huge wooden train structure.
It is located on the Millstream Trail – a 1.3 mile paved trail with nature observation decks. I found an article stating that this trail extends to Centreville Wharf Park (where we played first) but cannot find a map to confirm.
We played at this park for over an hour and had so much fun!
After the playground we headed over to Ten Eyck Brewing Company – a woman (and veteran and first responder! ❤️) owned brewery that is celebrating one year in business! 🎉
📍205 Grange Hall Rd, Queenstown, MD. We got there just as it started raining and were happy to find they had a huge outdoor shade covering – open on 2 sides with fans so we could sit outside while still staying dry!
We enjoyed great beers, food from Happy Chicken Bakery AND my first ever beer soft serve ice cream – the only place it is served in Maryland! This place is really kid friendly – great outdoor seating (not a ton of space to run around but plenty of room for kids outdoors – and they have juice boxes!), and super friendly attentive staff who constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!
