“Rock the Hill” Concerts and Splash Pad at Fair Hill Shops

Today we enjoyed lunch and an outdoor kids concert at Fair Hill Shops in Olney! Fair Hill shopping center offers FREE concerts on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month during the summer! Kids concerts are from 10:30 am – 12, and family concerts begin at 6:30 pm.
As you look at these pictures, imagine enjoying lunch, live kids music AND a splash fountain at the SAME time. That will hopefully be the case here soon, once Fair Hill Shops gets their fountain up and running (they are hoping for next week!)
Today’s kids concert featured Kidsinger Jim – who has been performing children’s music for 30 years and is a long time resident of Bowie, MD. I attended several of his concerts as a kid, and now I got to bring my own kids to see him perform!
Although there was no fountain this time, the girls and their friends still had a blast. I enjoyed breakfast from Playa Bowls, while our friends got Panera. Both are conveniently located just steps from the splash pad/concert location! You can order and pay online and run in to pick up when it’s ready. We were there with friends so this was even easier because we could take turns watching the kids while we ran in to get food.
The staff from Fair Hill were super accommodating and went out of their way to make sure everyone attending the concert found shade (it was 91 today). There was also a raffle for prizes for everyone who attended!
