If you’ve ever driven past the IKEA on Rt. 1 in College Park, MD, this teeny-tiny little park may have caught your eye. Just down the hill across the street from the IKEA entrance is this brand new park, just completed in 2020.
I was curious about this spot so we decided to check it out when we were in the area visiting University of Maryland. There is not much to it – just a single slide on a beautifully landscaped piece of property. There is a unique 2 level pavilion with bamboo chimes with benches and tables for seating.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this one again, but it is a nice addition for the residents of this neighborhood!
