High Ridge Park

If you are looking for a quiet, shaded playground, this is a great option! We discovered High Ridge park when we had an errand to run in the area. It came up as nearby on Google maps so we decided to check it out, and I’m so glad we did!
There is one main play structure here that is covered in two big awnings. Some sections of the playground still get sun depending on the time of day, but the coverings do help a lot! There were several slides and difference climbing opportunities. The playground sits on rubber surface which was a little beat up but still nice for my little one that’s still crawling. The bathrooms were open and clean and there was also a huge covered pavilion and tennis courts nearby. We were there from 10-12 on a weekday and shared the playground with 2 other kids the whole time.
There is about 1 mile of paved trails that appear to go down near a stream, but we didn’t get to explore those this visit. We will definitely come back to this one – the shade will be a lifesaver this summer!
