The Station at Riverdale Park

The Station at Riverdale Park has everything you need for a perfect summer day!

☀️ A great playground! Several climbing structures, multiple slides. Fully fenced 🙌🏼
☀️ A splash fountain! Open 9am-9pm daily (thought it was already on when we arrived at 8:15!) located right next to a Starbucks
☀️ Several great restaurants including District Taco 🌮 and Denizens Brewing (we went with tacos since it was 11 am🤪) Download the app and pick up in store or curbside!
☀️ Streets lined with shaded picnic tables so you can grab food or pack a lunch and eat outside!
☀️ “Snail Trail”
☀️ Trains! The playground is near the train tracks so we got to see a Marc train go by!

We started at the playground which is located at the back of the development. To get there, go straight back from the entrance (past Whole Foods and Starbucks) and turn left at the very end of the road. The playground was fantastic! Fully fenced and had multiple different play structures. There were things to do for all ages, including my 1 year old and bigger kids as well.

Right behind the playground is the “Snail Trail” – paved trail behind the playground lined with red snail statues – perfect for kids to ride bikes/scooters. Just past that are train tracks – we were able to see a Marc train go by which is always super exciting for my crew.

From the playground we drove to the splash fountain, but if I had my double stroller we could have easily walked (takes about 5 minutes). The fountain is located in the center strip between Whole Foods and Habit Burger Grill. We parked in the Whole Foods lot but there is also street parking and a garage next to District Taco that may be more convenient. There are streets on 3 sides of the splash fountain but it is pretty well fenced in with curved benches and bushes. I loved how there were several food options within steps of the fountain – including a Starbucks, Habit Burger Grill, District Taco, and more. The best part about this splash fountain (besides being one of the ONLY ones in PG county) is that its open at 9 am – earlier than any other ones I’ve found! (Toddler moms rejoice! 🙌🏼)

We ended our day with grabbing District Taco 🌮 it was SO good. They have a great online ordering system and you can pay ahead of time and choose curbside or pick up in store. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The whole development also has picnic tables lining the streets so you can grab food to go anywhere and always find a spot to eat outside.
