Baltimore City, Playgrounds, Things To Do

Patterson Park

Patterson Park
148 S. Linwood Ave
Baltimore, MD

We had the best time visited my brother in Canton area of Baltimore City and exploring Patterson Park. Here’s how we spent the day!

☀️ Got breakfast from one of my most favorite places ever – Cafe Dear Leon. Seriously – they make amazing pastries and treats and they are some of the BEST foods I’ve ever had (and my dad is a chef, so I’ve had a lot of good food 😂) This is a small bakery so one of us went in to order while the rest of us stayed outside with the kids. We ate at the picnic tables in O’Donnell square.

☀️ Patterson Park Playground #1 – (near Linwood Ave and the pool – address listed above is for this playground!) – this has 2 play structures for different ages and several swings. Plenty of shade!

☀️ Patterson Park Pagoda – long walk uphill but worth it! Beautiful building and views of the city! “Cicada Parade” art displayed on the trees (thankfully, we didn’t see any real cicadas!)

☀️ Patterson Park Playground #2 (near Eastern Ave.) – This larger “castle” playground has a Baltimore theme – complete with a Bromo Selzer tower, rowhouse facades and tons of other really cool elements. This playground is fully fenced in and has a separate toddler area – no swings at this one!

☀️ Last stop – Bmore Licks – Directly across the street from the castle playground! They offer delicious traditional ice cream and soft serve in just about any flavor you can imagine. I loved that you could order from an outside window instead of having to go inside. 📍2437 Eastern Ave Baltimore

We had the best day in Baltimore (despite getting caught in a surprise downpour on our walk back to the car) and can’t wait to go back!
