Jonas and Catherine Green Park
2001 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd
Annapolis, MD
Today we packed a lunch and visited Jonas and Catharine Green Park. This park is located under the Naval Academy Bridge and has a small walking trail, a fishing pier, a grassy area and small beach area. This is SUCH a great spot to hang out by the water with amazing views of the Naval Academy and the Severn River bridge.
We parked right next to the beach area and sat at a picnic table for lunch. There is no swimming on this beach but the girls loved just digging in the sand. There was a lot of sticks/debree on the beach this morning but that’s not always the case. There are several picnic tables around the beach area and benches that line the path towards the fishing pier. When we don’t bring a lunch from home, we love to grab something nearby in downtown Annapolis and bring it here to eat! After we ate and the girls played, we walked out onto the fishing pier which is actually a portion of the old Naval Academy bridge. Then we walked on the path (it’s both paved and hard packed sand) which takes you down along the water, under the fishing pier and back to the beach – maybe 5-10 minutes of walking with toddlers. My girls thought it was so cool to be right under the Naval Academy bridge and to be able to see cars, trucks and boats all at the same time 😊
