Friendship Park is located at the WBNA trailhead at BWI airports observation area. This is a great spot to take kids to watch the planes take off and land! There is a small playground that has been recently renovated. No swings, so better for older toddlers and up. There are a few benches to sit and watch the planes, and some small grassy areas to lay out a blanket. There is not a lot of room to spread out here so I definitely recommend trying to avoid peak times. This is a very popular spot for biking so the parking lot is almost always busy and full. This is a great spot to spend a couple of hours – my girls love watching the planes, playing on the playground and walking on the trail. We always stop by our favorite donut shop, Carlson’s Donuts, on the way!

😷Covid-safe😷: not a ton of space to spread out so it can get busy on weekends or really nice days. 🅿️Parking🅿️: small (very busy!) parking lot that fills up quickly with people using the trail.
